NYC Media Lab is a proven thought leader in two emerging media and technology areas: VR/AR and data science. In the past year, we've completed dozens of prototyping projects with our Member Companies to explore new potentials. Faculty and student representatives from NYU, Columbia University, Pratt Institute, The New School, The School of Visual Arts, CUNY and Cornell Tech will present and demo the cutting-edge projects, prototypes and startups they've developed with NYC Media Lab in the 2016-17 season.

Metadata Prototyping with Open-Source NLP Tools
In collaboration with Columbia University. Sponsored by Audible. The team will share their best practices for how data science can influence workflows for tagging and classifying content for better search, discovery and recommendation of audiobooks.
New York University. Produced in the Bloomberg AR for Enterprise Fellowship, the pair provided an exploration into data analysis and team collaboration in AR using pivot tables.
