We will demo ReproZip, a reproducibility tool, to package and reproduce the news app Stacked Up and a FiveThirtyEight article on the Bechdel test. Stacked Up is a data journalism site created to explore the textbook inventory of Philadelphia public schools, where citizens can check the book records at neighborhood schools. This web application was written using the Django web framework, and all the data is stored under a local PostgreSQL database. It can easily be run again on different machines or in the cloud. The FiveThirtyEight article uses data downloaded from IMDB and a few different python scripts to understand how gender bias exists in modern film. We package the data, scripts, and dependencies of these two projects to rerun them later in any environment.
